Romy Deppoyan
I am a native German speaker and have lived and worked in France for over 10 years. I discovered my enthusiasm for France and the French language at an early age. which prompted my decision to move to France, initially working in Paris as an au-pair. After this I then studied in France but never lost contact with Germany.
In 1995 I gained my certificate in French civilisation and language studies at the Sorbonne university, Paris.
I completed my studies in Psychology, specilaising in employment and organisation psychology, at the "Université de Provence", gaining a diploma as psychologise (DPSI – diplôme de psychologie sociale et industrielle).
Following this I worked in the area of personal / human resources in industry for several years but also in a personell advice centre and always in the area of German/French relations.
That has made translating part of my profession for a long time.
I have been active as a freelance translator since 2006.
I am a member of SFT, the association of French translators.
